Embroidery Madness - Im Stickwahn - Waistcoat / Weste

English text below

After Visiting the Exhibition "Mode aus dem Rahmen" which means something like "fashion out of the Frame" mentionable the "Embroidery frame" in the Bavarian National Museum, i got silly and Said, i need to have one of those Embroidery styled late 18th Century Waistcoats.
the whole embroidery took around (yes i counted hours)
243 hours of working, unfortunately there was a need of long "working breaks" so it took me around 9 Months to finish it!
if you got "a lot of time" and much discipline, i think you would be able to Embroider this in about 2-2,5 month ;)

Soon i'm going to sew this :)

(ca 1x1,5m)

After some Research, out of residues from another wooden project i started spontaneous to build a Frame, the whole planing for this project, doesn't take much time
the wide of the frame is about 40x60 inch

just in case of the spontaneous action, i just took the first white silk i found in my Storage, drawn the Pattern to the silk, looked up some Templates out of the exhibition catalogue.. and STAART!

I startet to embroider the borders of the pattern, after this the buttons, the pocket flaps, collar and at least the main front parts.

Jahrhunderts
Die Farben etwas nach lebenden Pflanzen.

all embroidered flowers on this waistcoat, are accurate out of 18th century templates. I’ve chosen he colours more and more after living plants and stuff.

einige Dekorationen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert beinhalten
 versteckte kleine Dinge

Some historical 18. century decorations include some hidden "easter eggs"
even on the decoration of Meissen Porcelain , you're able to see some insects or fallen leaves.
There some other "easter eggs" but they are made to find them in "real life"  :)

 komplett Handgemacht! ;)
Entirely Handmade!

 Ein Paar mehr detailfotos!
some more details

Und von innen!
and the internal!
